Williston, FL – May 27, 2025 – After more than 35 years of dedicated service in public accounting, Sharon C. Brannan, CPA, founding partner of Brannan & Hessel, has announced her retirement, effective June 30, 2025. Her departure marks the end of an era for the firm, as she has been a driving force behind its success and a trusted advisor to businesses, non-profits, and individuals throughout Florida.

Sharon’s career in accounting has been marked by dedication and professionalism. She graduated from the University of Florida with a BSBA in Business in 1981 and earned her CPA certification in 1990. After ten years in public accounting and five years in private industry as an accounting manager for a Fortune 500 company, she returned to public accounting, where she built a respected practice that ultimately transitioned to Brannan & Hessel. Her expertise in accounting and tax services for businesses, educational institutions, and non-profits has been valued by clients and colleagues alike.

While Sharon is stepping back from her day-to-day responsibilities, her legacy will continue. She will remain involved in an advisory capacity to support a smooth transition and, as Partner Emeritus, she will continue to be a role model and mentor to the staff and community of Williston.
