Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Accounting Manager to lead and support our accounting team. This pivotal role is ideal for a strategic thinker with a solid accounting background, proven leadership experience, and the ability to ensure accuracy and compliance across financial operations. The Accounting Manager will oversee day-to-day accounting activities, mentor junior staff—including staff accountants—and collaborate with leadership to drive financial strategy and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, including review and approval of financial work prepared by team members.
• Oversee preparation and analysis of financial statements to ensure timely and accurate reporting in compliance with GAAP.
• Direct the month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Manage cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning activities.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial and tax regulations.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax professionals, and regulatory agencies as needed.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Coordinate with other departments to support cross-functional financial needs and reporting.
• Provide training, support, and performance evaluations for the accounting team.
• Maintain and enforce internal controls and accounting policies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA designation strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Advanced proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Deep understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and compliance standards.
• Strong leadership and team development skills.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines with accuracy.
