The Chrysanthemum cinerariaefolium<\/em>, the perennial plant of the Astaraceae family completely resembling a common daisy, that grew spontaneously in the eastern Adriatic region, from Istria to Montenegro, in limestone and arid places, which is why it is also called \u201cDalmatian Pyrethrum\u201d. Today its cultivation is concentrated in the large plantations of Australia and New Zealand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is a rustic plant, which also grows spontaneously in meadows. Used to decorate the gardens or balconies, and it achieves truly enchanting results with its simplicity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To produce Pyrethrum, the flower heads are used, that is the inflorescence formed by the set of small flowers.\u00a0Once collected, dried and ground they are used to obtain a\u00a0formulation that can be sprayed on plants in environments to fight annoying insects, such as mosquitoes, flies, ticks, sand flies and many more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
